Categories & units
Organise items with categories and define sale units; archive without touching existing items.
Categories
Open Settings → Categories & units.
- Add a category by name.
- Rename a category inline.
- Archive a category to hide it from item pickers. Existing items keep their category. Reactivate to bring it back.
Units
Units define how you sell (Nos, Kg, Hrs, and so on).
- Add a unit with a name and a short symbol.
- Rename name or symbol inline.
- Archive / reactivate units. Archived units disappear from pickers without changing existing item records.
Field limits
Category and unit names, and unit symbols, have length limits enforced in the form so labels stay tidy.
