Common messages and how to resolve them.
Billing shows a paywall
The active business has no ERP entitlement. Start a trial (owner) or purchase a plan. See Access & trial.
"Document not found" or "still generating" when sharing
The document artifact is still being produced. Wait a few seconds after issuing, then click Open document / Copy invoice link again. The app waits briefly and retries for you.
Send email says the customer is not a VardhanTax user
We can only email VardhanTax users directly. Add an email on the customer, or use Copy invoice link and share the URL yourself.
TDS / TCS dropdowns show only "None"
No TDS/TCS masters exist yet, or the invoice layout hides those fields. Add rates in Tax rates and enable the fields in Invoice layouts.
No GST rate to choose on a line
Add at least one GST rate in Settings → GST tax rates.
The document numbering table is empty
Open the page again after the latest backend deploy, or issue any draft once to initialise its series.
Cannot cancel a document
You can only cancel a draft or issued document with no payments. Refund/undo payments first, or clone instead.
Cannot create a credit/debit note
The source must be a tax invoice that is issued, partially paid, or paid. Drafts and other types are not eligible.
Analytics unavailable on the dashboard
The dashboard falls back to local invoice counts and shows a notice. Retry, or check back shortly.
A 403 error after being invited
Make sure you accepted the invite in Manage businesses, and that Billing (or full ERP) was granted. See Team & access.
All team seats are in use
Open Settings → Team & access. Revoke a pending invite, remove a member, or Add seats (Billing Pro required for purchased add-ons). See Access & trial.
Suppliers menu is missing
An owner must enable Settings → Suppliers & payments. See Suppliers & payments (enable).
Business profile save asks for a verification code
You changed an existing sensitive field (GSTIN, bank, legal name, etc.). Request the email or SMS code and verify before saving. First-time empty fields do not need a code.
